Here’s a super-cute cropped top that’s really fun:
Great detail, fun shape, flowy sleeves, and these days I’m really into showing off just a smidgen of midriff.
It’s $315.20 at Shopbop!

I blogged about the rebranding a while back and I was definitely excited for it.
So did it miss, meet, or exceed expectations?
Every Chinese person my age knows exactly what this is about.
You order a bunch of dishes and then everything is served at once with bowls of rice and a pot of tea on a lazy susan. The server brings over the soup and divvies it up into little bowls. You fill up your own little plate with a little bit of everything and then dig in!
The menu included roast chicken, abalone, fish, oatmeal-crusted prawns, and venison. Dessert was mango pudding with sago and pomelo. The tea of choice was chrysanthemum.
Our special guest: my 92-year-old maternal grandmother, frail and deaf in one ear but still downright adorable.
For her, every day is a good reason to celebrate with a delicious Cantonese banquet… but for her health, maybe not so much.
Why do I feel like I’ve blogged this before…
Can you really blame me though? Look at how gorgeous this is! Lizard-embossed for richness, open toes for the casual feel, and a super-high heel for hotness and general awesomeness.
I’m definitely considering nabbing this with the 20% discount!
It’s $420 at Shopbop.
On Saturday I went down to Bedok to watch my friend wow the crowd with his magic hands.
He’s tricky, that one! He worked his magic with coins, a string and ring, and a deck of cards. Not only does he have fast hands, he has the gift of the gab!
So I had just stepped aside from the ATM when some guy pushing the HSBC credit card got my attention.
Him: I believe you’re working?
Me: No.
Him: Um, tourist?
Me: No.
Him: …
Me: I’m a tai-tai.
Him: [stunned look]
Me: I have to go now.
Him: Okay, have a nice day.
I guess I looked like the working type. Tell me if you agree.
Friends who know me know I love to show off my barely-there cleavage.
Friends who know me better know that I love me some maxi dresses that show off my barely-there cleavage. (I love mini dresses too, but well, those tell a different story.)
doo.ri gets a little more affordable with her under.ligne line. This dress comes in at $385 at Shopbop. It’s a lot for 100% modal, but it doesn’t hurt to dream.
I grabbed,
I slapped down my ATM card,
I left with a gigantic shopping bag.
I probably shouldn’t even have let myself walk around after picking up my new glasses. Things in Singapore are so cheap I couldn’t help but stop and look, stop and look.
If you’re worried about looking too dressy, just show off a little shoulder.
The ankle boots are a perfect pairing. All you need are some chunky glittery earrings and you’re good to go! I would totally put her hair up in a bun – that long stretch of bare skin from shoulder to the back of the ears is totally sexy.
It’s $245 at Shopbop.
We love us some all-day breakfast, but fearing that the pancake-egg-bacon combo would be too big, I settled on a burger. Great, meat cooked medium like I’d wanted, but the fries weren’t crispy and weren’t hot.
Nothing like a huge greasy burger to temper the intoxication to come.
Our first stop after supper at OverEasy was Butter Factory.
