Goodies on the cheap(er)

8 Jan

Let’s not kid anybody, m’kay?  I shop the Sale section first.

Germany-based Stylebop has some seriously cute designer duds on their Sale page.  For under $300, I could get one of these adorable dresses:

Speaking of sales, Benefit Cosmetics has a little buh-bye section, and there are a few things worth picking up:

Here’s to good skin and great taste in 2011!

1 Jan

Beech swears by Mario Badescu and the last time I used it was 2006 and it was only samples – back then I didn’t have the means to buy their skincare.  Now that my face is all states of fug – the result of all kinds of recklessness in Singapore, as well as extreme change in diet and climate, insufficient sleep, and water – and I have the means, so I have no excuse to keep hemming and hawing over it.

Those five little products are gonna change my skin… and my life.  Well, one hopes…

… because if the canvas is lousy, there’s little point in getting new paint.

Cute?

Fair and tanned Charmmy!

Eyeshadows and lipglosses galore!

I treated myself to these babies on the day of the sneak preview at Sephora.com.  Not only am I a sucker for make-up palettes, I go weak at the knees for cute Hello Kitty packaging.

*hangs head in shame*

You hush up!  There are forty-year-olds worse than me.

The weather in the Bay Area has been gorgeous of late.  You’re inside a cozy heated home looking outside and it looks like the perfect summer day, but then you step outside and are hit by the brisk cool air and suddenly it’s late-Fall.  I think it’s absolutely wonderful.  A week ago I looked up from my computer long enough to witness this awesome sunset:

Joe’s Jeans Trailblazer Suede Combat Booties

23 Dec

Okay, truth be told, I haven’t bought those Rupert Sanderson papaya shoes.

And I’m glad because

OMG I MUST HAVE THESE BOOTS.

BUT I’ve already bought myself a Christmas present so I don’t know if I should splurge on these…  These babies are $250 at Shopbop and I’m a size 6!

DFF #93 – Urban Decay Tease Urban Lashes

7 Dec

I want boxes and boxes of this lash!

I have small eyes (have you seen how long most falsies are?) and I don’t like having to trim the falsies before wearing them.  These are the perfect length and natural-looking!

They’re pricey ($15 a pair at UrbanDecay.com), but, y’know, for a special occasion…

DFF #92 – Rupert Sanderson Mist leather cross-front sandals

2 Dec

Rupert Sanderson is my poison.  This is getting serious.

I’m really liking elasticized straps.  My black Ann Taylor ones are so much love (though the back cuts into my heel) and I love that putting them on and taking them off is so effortless – great when I get home after a night partying when I.. um.. can’t think straight.

I don’t have shoes that are champagne-colored.  It’s such a beautiful and universally-flattering color!

DFF #91 – Rupert Sanderson Lola pleat-front leather pumps

1 Dec

That does it.

I’ve been a very good girl this trip as far as spending goes.

I’m giving in and buying myself a Christmas present.

It’s the perfect papaya color.  It has a platform that’s the same color as the rest of the shoe.  It has a little pleat on the front.  It has a side cut-out.

WANT.

Only $238 at The Outnet!

DFF #90 – Dallin Chase Clemens Beaded Top

30 Nov

Here’s a super-cute cropped top that’s really fun:

Great detail, fun shape, flowy sleeves, and these days I’m really into showing off just a smidgen of midriff.

It’s $315.20 at Shopbop!

DFF #89 – Alexander Wang Devon Open Toe Booties

29 Nov

Why do I feel like I’ve blogged this before…

Can you really blame me though?  Look at how gorgeous this is!  Lizard-embossed for richness, open toes for the casual feel, and a super-high heel for hotness and general awesomeness.

I’m definitely considering nabbing this with the 20% discount!

It’s $420 at Shopbop.

DFF #88 – under.ligne by doo.ri Seamed Long Dress

25 Nov

Friends who know me know I love to show off my barely-there cleavage.

Friends who know me better know that I love me some maxi dresses that show off my barely-there cleavage.  (I love mini dresses too, but well, those tell a different story.)

doo.ri gets a little more affordable with her under.ligne line.  This dress comes in at $385 at Shopbop.  It’s a lot for 100% modal, but it doesn’t hurt to dream.

I came, I saw…

25 Nov

I grabbed,

I slapped down my ATM card,

I left with a gigantic shopping bag.

I probably shouldn’t even have let myself walk around after picking up my new glasses.  Things in Singapore are so cheap I couldn’t help but stop and look, stop and look.
